I am a caregiver, photographer, and advocate with a powerful story of redemption and reinvention.
A former speech pathologist, I built a career helping individuals with communication challenges—until a series of mental health challenges and poor decisions led me to commit fraud. The consequences were swift and life-altering: I lost her professional license and served a year and a day in federal prison.
But my story didn’t end there.
After incarceration, I rebuilt my life from the ground up. I now work as a caregiver for individuals with autism, combining my compassion, lived experience, and deep understanding of human behavior to offer care that is both informed and empathetic. I am also an emerging photographer, using my camera to capture stories of resilience, neurodiversity, and second chances.
I am passionate about using my voice to help others avoid the mistakes I made, while also showing that it’s never too late to start again. My work centers on dignity, healing, and the beauty of imperfection—both in people and in life itself.
I am currently developing a book and speaking series to share my journey and inspire change in the worlds of healthcare, ethics, and reentry.
