Artist Statement:
Painting is a contemplative and alchemical process for me. I paint from a place of feeling, the tension between seeing all and seeing what is essential .
I like to catch the light, in those liminal moments. Suddenly I am sitting, transported . The boundaries between earth, sky and water merge.
I work loosely from reference photos, en plein air, and memory . The landscape the vehicle. I keep searching . Who has not spent time cloud watching ?
