Community Guidelines
Welcome to the Albany Area Artist Network. Our mission is to foster a supportive, inclusive, and professional community. These guidelines are designed to ensure a safe and respectful environment for all members. By participating, you agree to abide by these standards.
1. Age Requirement
To join and participate in the Albany Area Artist Network, you must be at least 18 years of age. Our platform is intended for adults to connect and collaborate professionally.
2. Artwork & Content Standards
We celebrate a diverse range of artistic expression, but all content shared on our platform must adhere to the following rules:
No Pornography or Sexually Explicit Content
Content that is pornographic or sexually explicit is strictly prohibited. We aim to maintain a professional environment for all members.
Artistic Nudity
Artistic depictions of nudity are permitted, provided they are presented in a fine art context. We understand the importance of the nude form in art history and contemporary practice. However, content that is gratuitous, sexually exploitative, or otherwise violates our policies will be removed.
No Hate Speech or Harmful Content
Content that promotes, incites, or glorifies hatred, violence, discrimination, or disparagement against individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, religion, disability, age, nationality, veteran status, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, or any other characteristic associated with systemic discrimination or marginalization is forbidden.
3. Respect & Professional Conduct
- Respectful Interaction: All interactions with other members must be professional and respectful. Harassment, bullying, intimidation, and personal attacks will not be tolerated.
- Intellectual Property: Respect the copyrights and trademarks of others. Only post artwork and content that you have created or have explicit permission to share. Do not claim others' work as your own.
- Authenticity: Represent yourself and your work honestly. Do not impersonate other individuals or create profiles with misleading information.
4. Reporting & Enforcement
If you encounter content or behavior that violates these guidelines, please report it to our moderation team immediately. You can report a user profile or a specific piece of content through the reporting tools on the site or by contacting us at network@albanyartscouncil.org.
Violations of our guidelines may result in actions including, but not limited to:
- A formal warning.
- Temporary or permanent removal of content.
- Temporary suspension of account privileges.
- Permanent termination of your account.
Decisions are made at the discretion of our administrative team and are based on the severity and context of the violation.
5. Changes to Guidelines
The Albany Area Artist Network reserves the right to update these guidelines at any time. We will notify members of significant changes, but we encourage you to review this page periodically. Your continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the revised guidelines.
